DRDO SET is conducted on all India basis on 1st Sunday of September every year in order to provide equal opportunity to all students from different educational institutions in view of the increasingly wide variation in the marking pattern of different educational institutions in the country. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) is constituted under an Act of Parliament i.e. the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (Act No. 56 of 1980) is the only recognized professional body in India to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretary(CS) in India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) rewards the certificate of bestowing the designation of Company Secretary(CS) to a candidate qualifying for the membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI). The Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) has on its rolls over 20,000 members including over 3,000 members holding certificate of the practice and has totally registered over Five Lakh Twenty Thousand students since the inception of the course in 1960.
